With respect, I don’t think anyone expects Americans to park our cars and get on the train, hence just one of the reasons high speed bullet trains fail to materialize in the U.S. Lots of people who think we should build them for the environment, blah, blah, blah, apparently live in a dream world. A total of 59 600 trade visitors attended the sheet metalworking show, viewing exhibits from 1 573 companies from 38 countries. This year 38 percent of the total attendance came from outside of Germany, compared to 34 percent at the 2012 event. Most visitors from outside Germany were from the Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Poland, Turkey, Czech Republic, Spain, UK, Belgium and the USA. The show’s total net floor space was 86 500m².
