Visual Positioning of Metal Pipe Cutting by Laser Tube Cutting Machine

We know cutting a certain length of the tube is an easy job with a cutting tool, but it is hard to cut to the right position every time in a half-finished product. Normally, the traditional solution is to build a mould, but in tube cutting, it is hard to do that. Now one of the customers from the automotive industry asks us to cut a tube that is full of holes. They want to cut the long tube into small pieces and determine which parts will have the same number of holes.

After studying the customer’s request, we customized this vision-based metal tube laser cutting machine for a client in the automotive industry..

With an Industry CCD camera, it will automatically recognize the line or marking on the tube. Then find the start cutting point to cut the tube according to the design. The repeat accuracy of tube cutting is +-0.01mm.

No waste of the metal tube materials during the cutting.
